Improving My Work: Fixing Translations and Moving Forward
Introduction ✨
Hello WordPress community! At this stage of my project, my goal was to apply the feedback I received and improve the quality of my translations. After identifying some mistakes, I focused on correcting them and continuing my contributions.
Development ✨
After reviewing the feedback on my previous translations, I went back to the platform to make the necessary corrections. Specifically, I fixed the 11 strings that required changes, paying close attention to the proper use of second-person Spanish (Costa Rica). This time, I made sure to use a more natural and appropriate tone based on what I had learned. As shown in the image below, I was working on correcting my translations.
Also, thanks to the translation history, I can show how my original translation changed after making the corrections.
This step showed me that contributions are not just about submitting work, but also about:
Learning from feedback
Making improvements
Staying consistent in the process
I also felt more confident while making corrections because I now better understand the expectations and standards of translation in WordPress.
In this stage, I learned the importance of revisiting and improving my work. Fixing mistakes helped me grow and made my contributions stronger. Adding new translations while correcting previous ones also helped me stay motivated and keep making progress.
In the next post, I will present the final results of my project and reflect on everything I learned throughout this experience.
This was my sixth post out of eight, so stay tuned for the upcoming ones and join me on this adventure 🚀
